Active Fin STABILIZERS

Fraser Fibreglass Ltd. is experienced with supplying and installing active fin stabilizer systems. Active fin stabilizer systems reduce the uncomfortable and potentially dangerous vessel roll. Active fin stabilizers also improves steering ability, tracking fuel economy and speed.

Active fin stabilizers can automatically reduce vessel roll up to an astounding 90%.

The key power Active fin stabilizer system installed on this 58’ Skumcumchuck consists of hydraulic driven airfoil-shaped fins placed to the port & stb. hull. Substantial fibreglass reinforcement was required in way of the hydraulic drive assemblies. The key power Active fin stabilizer system also consists of a hydraulic power unit, reservoir; manifold, electronic controllers and a host of hydraulic hoses. This particular system was also used to power a key power hydraulic side thrusters mounted to the stern.
